While the world is busy battling covid-19, there is another invisible pandemic plaguing our minds and affecting millions! As we go through new painful afflictions in life: loss of income, loved ones getting sick, family members dying, and all forms of social life being shut down, many of us are unprepared for the speed of which those hardships are happening.
While each of those challenges are enough to cause a thunder of negative emotions, to many of us, they are all happening at once, causing a pandemic of mental health of an unprecedented magnitude, with depression, suicide, and abandoning of faith. And if you think that Muslims don’t go through these mental health issues, just take a look at my inbox!
This Ramadan, I wanted to save hundreds of Muslims from sadness, depression, and make everyone feel happier insha’Allah!
And whoever saves one soul, it is like he has saved all of mankind. وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا”
This is why, I decided to help my Muslim brothers and sisters during this mental health pandemic by developing a 9 step recovery program that would be provide them with an easy and straight forward self-therapy process, which is based on the message of the Quran and modern research about achieving happiness, and my 15 years of experience as an Imam counseling many mosque visitors around the world in 4 different continents in a multitude of social issues.
When the son of Adam dies, all their deeds are halted except for 3:
1- A continuous charity
2- Knowledge that benefits others
3- A righteous child that prays for them" - Prophet Muhammed ﷺ
By contributing to this project, insha'Allah you will receive ALL THREE mentioned in the Hadeeth, as this is a continuous charity, and the knowledge that will be taught in the mosque will benefit others, and the mosque attendees will always pray for the one who helps building it insha'Allah!
